Hajiyev: Azerbaijan is interested in seeing the EU in a new transport composition

Azerbaijan would like also to see European Union, including within the framework of the EU’s Global Gateway initiative, to be part of the "Zangezur Corridor", said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, in an interview with EU Today in Brussels.

Describing the "corridor" as part of the “Middle Corridor” between China, Central Asia and Europe, he said the route “will have a transformative impact on the Eurasian transport landscape” and that Azerbaijan saw itself “playing a pivotal role in this process”
