Trump։ "We are preparing a Putin-Zelensky meeting"

After talks with Ukrainian and EU leaders, US President Donald Trump announced the preparation of a personal meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.

“We discussed the security guarantees for Ukraine that European countries will provide, coordinated with the United States. Then I called President Putin and arranged a meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky. After that there will be a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Russia, Ukraine and myself,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social social network.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who participated in the talks with EU leaders and the US-Ukraine, said that the meeting between Putin and Zelensky is scheduled for the next two weeks. However, he expressed doubts that Putin “will have the courage” to meet with Zelensky.
