Fires in Spain reach outskirts of Madrid

Wild fires that broke out in Spain a few days ago have reached the outskirts of the capital Madrid, and residential buildings are already burning in the suburb of Tres Cantos.

Yesterday, a forest fire in the autonomous region of Castile and Leon damaged part of the Las Médulas natural area, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. There are the remains of an ancient Roman gold mine.
