Macron: "France carried out an operation to drop humanitarian aid for the residents of Gaza"
![]() French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the French military has airlifted humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Earlier, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced that France would begin airlifting humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip on Friday. Four flights carrying 40 tons of food will be sent to Gaza. “Given the emergency situation, we have just airlifted food to Gaza. Thank you to our Jordanian, Emirati and German partners for their support, as well as to our military,” Macron wrote on his Facebook page, without specifying how much of the promised 40 tons of aid had been delivered. The French president stressed that the airlifted food was not enough and called on Israel to “ensure full access for humanitarian aid to counter the threat of famine.” |
