![]() During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Laotian president announced that he intends to give Russia a pair of elephants to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Thongloun Sisoulith noted that elephants are a symbol of Laos, as well as peace and prosperity. “They will be useful in the household,” Putin joked. |
