US President Donald Trump has warned of a possible tsunami in Alaska, Hawaii and the Pacific coast of the United States.

“A tsunami warning is in effect for all residents of the Hawaiian Islands due to a strong earthquake in the Pacific Ocean. Alaska and the Pacific coast of the United States are at risk of a possible tsunami. Japan is also at risk,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Earlier, the authorities of the island of Oahu, where the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu, is located, urged local residents to evacuate coastal areas after a powerful earthquake in Kamchatka.

Footage has appeared on the Internet of people massively leaving the Hawaiian Islands.
