 US President Donald Trump's protectionist policy towards BRICS member states and their partners has no future, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said. "There are no winners in trade and tariff wars, and protectionism has no future," she stressed at a briefing, referring to Trump's decision to impose 10% tariffs on countries supporting BRICS. As the Chinese diplomat noted, Beijing has always opposed the arbitrary use of tariffs to exert pressure and coercion. "This is not in the interests of any party," she added. |
