![]() The first session of ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas have ended without an agreement, Reuters reported, citing two Palestinian sources familiar with the situation. According to these sources, the Israeli delegation did not have a sufficient mandate to reach an agreement with Hamas. Negotiations on a ceasefire agreement in Gaza began in Qatar. It was reported that the agreement will include US guarantees that Hamas and Israel will not resume hostilities during and after the 60-day ceasefire. In addition, the draft agreement provides for the redistribution and subsequent withdrawal of Israeli troops from the territory, setting a timetable for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. |
