US President Donald Trump will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada, Axios reported, citing a representative of the US presidential administration.

“A White House spokesman announced on Sunday that Trump will meet with Zelensky,” the media outlet reported.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, Andriy Yermak, reported on the preparations for the meeting between Zelensky and Trump at the summit on June 16.

Zelensky and Trump last met in late April at the funeral of Pope Francis in the Vatican.

On May 8, the leaders of the two countries had a telephone conversation. The parties discussed the need for further efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
