Erdogan and Ahmad al-Sharaa met in Istanbul

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met in Istanbul, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.

The Syrian delegation also included the foreign minister, the defense minister and the head of the intelligence agency.

After the official reception, the meeting continued behind closed doors. No details were given about the meeting.
