Armenia to host European Senior Karate Championship for the first time
![]() On May 7-11, Armenia will host the European Karate Senior Championship for the first time, in which more than 1,000 athletes and delegates from 54 countries will participate. The 60th European Championship will be held at the K. Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, and the state is supporting it. According to Vazgen Harutyunyan, President of the National Karate Federation of Armenia, the European Karate Federation Selection Conference will also be held in Yerevan during the Championship. "We are ready to organize the Championship in the best possible way, as well as ensure the proper participation of our athletes. We are confident that this event will become a great sporting holiday," Vazgen Harutyunyan noted. The tournament's opening ceremony will be on May 8. The final fights will be held on May 10 and 11. |
