More than 300 people arrested during May Day protests in Istanbul

Clashes between May Day protesters and police broke out in Istanbul.

The organizers of the demonstrations, trade unionists and students, demanded guarantees for their rights and decent work.

Despite the peaceful and non-political nature of the demonstrations, the Istanbul police brutally dispersed the demonstration. More than 300 people have already been arrested.
