Araghchi: "Problems in the region should be resolved only through diplomacy"

All issues in the region should be resolved only through diplomatic means. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during a press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

Responding to a question about Iran’s position in the event of a possible Azerbaijani attack on Syunik, Araghchi noted:

“We are against any military action to resolve differences, as well as using communication channels. The territorial sovereignty and national laws of countries must be respected. All other ways are unacceptable,” said the Iranian Foreign Minister.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, in turn, emphasized that the inviolability of borders is of vital importance for both Iran and Armenia.
