![]() UN Secretary-General António Guterres is "shocked" by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, the UN said in a statement. Guterres urges the ceasefire to be respected, humanitarian aid to be restored unimpeded, and the unconditional release of the remaining hostages. The Israel Defense Forces resumed airstrikes in Gaza overnight from Monday to Tuesday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attacks continued because the Palestinian Hamas movement refused to accept the US plan to extend the ceasefire and free the hostages. |
