Unusually vicious and damaging weather across multiple U.S. states spawned violent tornadoes, blinding dust storms and fast-moving wildfires this weekend, leaving at least 40 people dead.

This is reported by NBC News. The storms raged in the states of Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Alabama and Mississippi. In addition to the victims, more than a hundred people were injured, hundreds of thousands were left without power, and homes were damaged.

The storm also caused wildfires to rage in Oklahoma. US President Donald Trump said he was monitoring the situation related to the storm. According to him, National Guard soldiers were sent to Arkansas.
