 US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on the implementation of initiatives of the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), including reducing the size of government. The corresponding document was published on February 11 on the White House website. According to the document, agency heads will coordinate and consult with DOGE to reduce the size of the federal workforce and limit hiring for key positions. "Each agency head must develop a data-driven plan, in conjunction with the DOGE team leader, to ensure that new staffing assignments are made in areas of greatest need," the executive order reads. |
