Zelensky says he is ready for direct talks with Putin
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is ready to sit at the negotiating table with Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. He made the comments in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan posted on YouTube on Tuesday. Asked how he would feel if he sat opposite Putin at a negotiating table, Zelensky said: "If that is the only set-up in which we can bring peace to the citizens of Ukraine and not lose people, definitely we will go for this set-up," adding that he would be with "four participants." "I will not be kind to him, I consider him an enemy. To be honest, I think he considers me an enemy, too," the Ukrainian leader said. |
