The joint team of investigators plans to ask ousted South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to appear for questioning on December 18, the Yonhap news agency reported. On December 14, the South Korean parliament voted to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol who had announced a hasty decision to introduce a martial law. The Constitutional Court must now decide whether to remove the incumbent leader from office. Yoon Suk Yeol is suspected of plotting a rebellion to overthrow the constitutional order. Yonhap previously reported that prosecutors summoned Yoon Suk Yeol for questioning on December 15, but he did not show up. |
