''On behalf of the United States of America, I send congratulations and warm wishes to the people of Armenia''. Blinken
On behalf of the United States of America, I send congratulations and warm wishes to the people of Armenia on your 33th Independence Day. As the first country to recognize Armenia’s independence, the United States is proud to continue to stand by Armenia as it becomes a thriving member in our community of democracies. Working with the United States and international partners, Armenia has created an inclusive economy increasingly connected to the world. Trade between the United States and Armenia has roughly doubled over the past ten years. We are working to diversify Armenia’s energy supplies and to ensure the energy security of its people and the region. Our people-to-people ties, the bedrock of our relationship, continue to grow and strengthen, bolstered by the robust Armenian diaspora in the United States and throughout the world. By working together, we can create greater prosperity for our peoples and the region, making the South Caucasus more interconnected, stable, and secure. As we commemorate this momentous day, the United States remains steadfast in our support of the Armenian people’s democratic aspirations, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. We honor Armenia’s commitment to accountable governance and to the rule of law at a time of grave challenges. We will continue to champion a durable and dignified peace for the South Caucasus region. |
