The White House sent House impeachment investigators a letter Monday declining their invitation for President Biden to testify before the panel at an inquiry hearing, CNN first reported. Republicans have struggled to uncover solid evidence linking the president to his son Hunter Biden's business dealings and House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) invited him to testify in a long-shot bid to salvage an inquiry that even Republicans have been skeptical about securing an impeachment vote on, per Axios' Andrew Solender. |
