Palestine announces 3-day mourning period after hospital attack
Palestinian National Authority (PNA) President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Tuesday three days of mourning after Israel allegedly struck a hospital in Gaza, revealed the official WAFA agency. The destruction of the Al Ahli Arab Hospital led to at least 500 casualties while leaving many injured. Palestinian Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said that the attack was "unprecedented." "While we've witnessed tragedies in past wars and days, what took place tonight is tantamount to a genocide," the spokesperson underlined. Meanwhile, Israel stated that the information regarding the alleged attack is still being checked. "There are a lot of airstrikes, a lot of failed rockets, and a lot of fake reports by Hamas," Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari claimed. |
