More than 7,000 servicemen are still considered missing

The Unified Register of Missing Persons has been developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Commissioner for Missing Persons and other agencies. The Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine announced this on Tuesday, May 2.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, tens of thousands of people have been reported missing. The vast majority of them were found, but it has been officially confirmed, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that approximately 23,000 people, including more than 7,000 servicemen, are still considered missing.

The register will collect and centralize data on missing persons, including surname, first name and patronymic, place and date of birth, marital status, place of residence, territory where the disappearance occurred, circumstances and time of disappearance.
