Artak Beglaryan: The Artsakh blockade is a consequence of Azerbaijan’s impunity for the Parukh and Qaraglukh occupation, too

The Artsakh blockade is a consequence of Azerbaijan’s impunity for the Parukh and Qaraglukh occupation, too
Today marks the first year of the Parukh and Qaraglukh occupation by Azerbaijan.
It was one of the Aliyev dictatorial regime’s large aggressions and violations against Artsakh since the signing of the November 9, 2020 ceasefire statement, causing human and territorial losses for Artsakh.
Though the international community, including the Russian side as a responsible peacekeeping party in the area, clearly called upon Azerbaijan to return to the contact line set by November 9 trilateral statement, Azerbaijan ignored the calls and instead strengthened its positions. By ignoring the violation and remaining silent on the matter, the international community ultimately signaled to Azerbaijan that they are free to commit these crimes.
Acting with its internationally granted impunity for the previous crimes – primarily the crimes against humanity in 2020 war, afterwards Hin Tagher/Khtsaberd and Parukh/Qaraglukh occupations, the Aliyev regime committed its next crimes, including the August aggression against Artsakh, the September aggression against Armenia, and now the 103-day-blockade of Artsakh.
The blockade has proved to be their most advanced tactic, carrying out hybrid warfare and terror against the people of Artsakh.
So, the pattern is clear: Aliyev tests the reaction of the international community with his crimes, appears to appease the soft criticism he receives, follows to kept silent for a while, then commits a more aggressive crime to once again test the limits and reactions to once again manage international possible tough reactions.
Unless the Aliyev regime pays a high price for its crimes and crossing of redlines, they will never stop and will step by step commit their ultimate goal of genocide. Thus, stop Aliyev in his criminal march, otherwise one day he and his “godfather” Erdogan will devour you, too!
