Turkish opposition leader Deniz Baykal dies

Deniz Baykal, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and the former leader of the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), passed away. This was expressed by the current chairman of the party, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, on his page in 2019. twitter.

Kılıçdaroğlu said, “I learned with sadness the death of the Chairman of our Party, the Antalya Deputy, who loves Turkey and CHP Deniz Baykal.”

The cause of death was not named. Baikal was 84 years old.
