I started the year with the letters addressed to all my international colleagues.

I noted that the government of the Republic of Artsakh, meeting the demand of the Azerbaijani "eco-activists", announced that it would temporarily stop the operation of the mine until an international examination would carried out, but even after that the road was not opened, which proves that the closure of the road has purely political character.

In the absence of practical steps by competent international structures, Azerbaijan continues to carry out gross violations of international humanitarian law, ethnic cleansing of Armenians, and genocidal policies.
Presenting the great urgency of the existing problems, I requested my international colleagues:

to apply sanctions against Azerbaijan to stop its inhuman policy,

to take effective steps in order to open the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the whole world.
I emphasized that their evaluation and effective steps in connection with the above mentioned can contribute to the saving of 120,000 lives.

There are reactions and there are none, but I will continue to promptly inform the international community of the current situation in the region, where human rights are directly violated.
