Fire erupts in mega mall Khimki in suburbs of Moscow
![]() The Moscow Emergency Service reports that a large fire broke out in the OBI store in the Mega Khimki shopping center located in the oblast. A statement issued by the department, today, Friday, said: “In the city of Khimki, in the eighth district, building 2, the “OBI” store caught fire. A 150-square-meter fire broke out in the roof of the building. On its part, the press office of the Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed that the fire area increased to 18,000 sq m. IT said that 70 people and 20 fire engines are involved in extinguishing the fire. Official sources added that the roof collapse in the "OBI" store occurred on an area of 5 thousand square meters, adding that the explosions were shaking the construction section of the store, where paint and spray cans are stored. |
