The IAEA announced the start of consultations on the creation of a buffer zone around the Zaporozhye NPP

It is noted that the director general of the agency, Rafael Grossi, is concerned about the constant shelling of the station.

“There is an urgent need to create a nuclear and physical security buffer zone around the ZNPP, consultations have begun,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the IAEA.

Grossi added that a security zone should be created around the station.
