WarnerMedia suspends the release of content in Russia – this applies to films, games and more

According to Variety, WarnerMedia is temporarily halting investment in the Russian market. As the head of the company, Jason Kilar, told employees, WarnerMedia thus decided to respond to the military special operation that the Russian army is conducting on the territory of Ukraine.

Apparently, WarnerMedia is not going to withdraw licenses for the sale of content already released in Russia. However, the new one is also of great interest. This includes:All WarnerMedia channels that stop broadcasting in Russia, such as Discovery.
Rental licensing of content by Russian partners, for example, with HBO and HBO Max.
Game and movie releases, including Gotham Knights, whose release date was announced today.
Earlier, WarnerMedia postponed indefinitely the release of the film “Batman” in the Russian box office, which was supposed to start showing on March 2.
