NATO strengthens presence in Eastern Europe

The North Atlantic Alliance will increase its presence in Eastern Europe due to Russia’s actions to build up troops near the Ukrainian border. It is reported on the site NATO on Monday 24 January. It is indicated that the countries of the Alliance are transferring forces to a state of combat readiness and are transferring additional ships and fighters to the countries of Eastern Europe. The measures are aimed at strengthening the allies against the backdrop of the buildup of Russia’s military presence in and around Ukraine. |
