Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have arrived at the Capitol for the inauguration to be sworn in as president and vice-president, American news networks are broadcasting the ceremony live.
Biden arrived at the building following a church mass. Traditionally, outcoming presidents receive their successors in the White House after masses. However, Donald Trump broke this tradition and left the US leader residence to travel to Florida.
