Samuel Eto’o retires from football

SAMUEL ETO'O announced his retirement from football aged 38 last night. The former Barcelona, Chelsea and Inter Milan forward had a decorated career and he was one of the best strikers to grace the game.

After 22 years in the game, the Cameroonian represented his country at four World Cups, netting 56 goals in 118 appearances.

He became Cameroon's all-time scorer, the Africa Cup of Nations' all-time top scorer and a four-time African Player of the Year, a record shared with former Manchester City star Yaya Toure.
