Football rocked by tragic death of 19-year-old star
![]() Football fans across the world have been saddened by the death of rising Spanish star Alba Esteban Frau. The 19-year-old was travelling in Majorca with her partner, 23, when the motorcycle the pair were riding collided with a wall. According to UK newspaper The Sun, her partner is still recovering in hospital. Many of the clubs the Spanish player had represented, as well as the Royal Spanish Football Federation, paid their respects to the teenager on social media. "Condolences. The RFEF regrets the death of the young footballer Alba Esteban Frau, only 19 years old, who has left us at such an early age after an unfortunate traffic accident in Mallorca,” the Royal Spanish Football Federation said. "We want to show our condolences to family and friends. Rest in peace.” AD Son Sardina, Federation of Soccer of the Balearic Islands, Atletico Baleares and Malaga CF Femenino also paid tribute to Alba. |
