The US Congress introduced a project of sanctions against the RF for the seizure of Ukrainian sailors

Deputies of the US Congress introduced a draft law for the consideration of the House of Representatives, which provides for sanctions against Russia for the seizure of Ukrainian sailors and ships. This is stated in a joint statement by the authors of the bill.
“This bill is a powerful message to Ukrainian sailors and their families that the United States does not forget about their heroic struggle to defend the democratic path and sovereignty of their country. We call on colleagues to support this bill, and Russia – to immediately release Ukrainian sailors,” notes the statement

The draft law, co-sponsored by deputies from democratic and republican parties, is called on to impose sanctions against influential Russian powers until all 24 sailors and three captured ships are released.

Members of the US Congress also urged the international community “not to stand aside when Russia expands its aggression in Europe and throughout the world.”
