The new KIA XCeed crossover is completely revealed

Despite the fact that the public debut of the model should only take place this month, the company has completely revealed it. The model is based on the third generation model Ceed, and will be sold on the Russian market.

The press service of KIA has published the first official photograph of Xceed. A completely new crossover was developed at the South Korean brand’s Frankfurt studio under the guidance of Gregory Guillaume, vice president of design at Kia Europe. A feature of the model was the increased ground clearance and a more sporty fit for the driver. This made it possible to preserve the feeling of the aggressive nature of the car, increase the throughput and provide a better view from the cabin.

Apparently, the information on the completely revised design of the front end is confirmed. The model, built on the basis of the third generation KIA Ceed, will receive a new optics, other bumpers, the original grille, increased ground clearance and an additional plastic body kit.

In the motor line changes are not expected. The entire gamut of ICE will be borrowed from the new hatchback, including a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with 120 horsepower. A 1.6-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of up to 115 horses will also be available. In addition, the company will offer options with 1.4- and 1.6-liter turbo engines capable of developing up to 140 and 200 hp, respectively.

Debut will take place in June 2019. The exact date, price tag and configuration are kept secret.
