Officials on Monday identified the two men who died in a shooting in Valley Glen late Saturday that may have been a gang-related killing. Ed Winter, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, identified the shooting victims as Hakop Papazian, 47, of Van Nuys, and Vartkes Mesrobian, 57, of Arcadia. Both men were shot in the 6700 block of Greenbush Avenue in Valley Glen at 8:45 p.m. Mesrobian was pronounced dead at the scene, Winter said. Papazian was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:41 p.m. No details were available yet about the men’s injuries — an autopsy is pending for both victims, Winter said. |
