US will create a new nuclear warhead to contain Russia

The US authorities intend to ease restrictions on the use of nuclear weapons and develop a new nuclear warhead with a low-power charge, reported the Guardian, referring to former senior director of the National Security Council for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation John Woolfstal.
According to him, the Pentagon has developed a new review of nuclear policy, according to which American modified Trident D5 underwater-based ballistic missiles will be equipped with such warheads.

He stressed that such actions by the US are aimed at restraining Russia from using tactical nuclear warheads in the event of a conflict in Eastern Europe.
